Unmade beds have always fascinated me - they create a landscape of their own with the way the blankets layer and twist.
I've always loved seeing the nests we make after a long night's sleep.
Jumpoff is one of the beds that fascinated me. This painting depicts a newly-slept-in bed in a beautiful off-grid home out in Tennessee. From this bed, I fell asleep to the sounds of nature and ONLY nature. No planes, no air conditioning units... it was so quiet.
I hope you are able to experience the sense of absolute peace this place exuded.
